Atlantic DanceSport Challenge May 14th, 2011

This was StudioDNA's 2nd year attending Igor & Polina Pilipenchuk's competition held at the Hunt Valley Inn Marriott. I suggest that next year you plan to attend to compete yourself or come and watch and cheer us on. We had an awesome time and thank everyone who had a part in our success! We all had a long day of dancing, smiling, taking mental pictures, laughing, sharing hugs and encouragement, and all that these comps bring for us dancers. The competition started with the Smooth dances about 8:00 AM and then the Rhythm dances at 1:00 PM. Our dancers set personal goals for this dance event to help them focus on the big picture. It is more than just dance with us here at StudioDNA. I am pleased to say, I saw many many smiles, witnessed and took part in lots of hugs and kisses, and heard..."I am SO HAPPY!" "Hey John, how about THAT!" "When is the next comp?" We have been through a rough winter and it is such a breath of fresh air to have done so well on so many levels. We ALL needed this to boost our esteem and raise our level of dance and styling for the next event. A special thank you to all who came to cheer and support us while we danced! What a great stress relief it was to have Michelle there to keep track of our heats, help out with dresses and make-up, and play den mother....thank Michelle! We had close to 25 people in attendance either dancing or supporting....WOW! What a great turn out for StudioDNA.

Andrea & Randy: 1st in Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, & Samba in 2 separate divisions

Beth: 1st in Waltz, Foxtrot, Hustle. 2nd in Rumba & Swing.

Cora: 1st in Rumba, Merengue, & Salsa. 2nd in Waltz, Tango, & Foxtrot.

Dian: 1st in Viennese Waltz, Rumba, & Cha Cha. 2nd: Waltz & Tango.

Heidi: 1st in Hustle & Salsa. (her 1st competition)

Katy: 1st in Waltz, Tango, & Foxtrot.

Patty: 1st in Hustle. 2nd: Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, & Salsa. 3rd: Waltz, Tango, & Foxtrot

Sue: 1st in Rumba, Merengue, Cha Cha, Swing, & Salsa.
