Summer Showcase & Dance Party August 15th, 2009

Thank you very much to all of your performers and guests. it is such a JOY to perform and share our passion for those interested in being a part of our events. Without our patrons, we cannot be pushed that extra inch. Our goals for dance Showcases vary: strength and core training, health and wellness, the many psychological and social benefits, the need to DO and BE more than we are at that moment in time, dancing for our own sense of sensual/sexual energy, and so much more!!!!

We had such a wonderful responsive crowd this evening with close to 50 people in attendance! I must say this was an electric evening. The dancers were shining and spot on! We also celebrated our beloved Liza's Birthday. A special thanks to David for videography and Sonja for photography. Liza acts as DJ and announcer and Emcee. John does choreography, hair and make-up, and clothing and accessories for the dancers. Michelle is all around peace keeper, stress reliever for dancers, and John's right hand gal. Way to go TEAM! Great JOB!!!!

1st SET: Michelle & her Zumba class (Christa, Jess, Marie, Wendy, & Winova) showed off their Cha Cha routine with true cardio work-out sassiness & strength. Patty & John (1st time Showcase performer) danced a slow and sensuously sexy Rumba. Barry & Elaine danced a 50's inspired Triple time East Coast Swing with great energy. Marie & John were teasing a playful with a steaming sexy Salsa. The Tango by Sonja & John was a tight, tense, & fierce routine. Andrea & John delighted the crowd with a graceful and flowing Viennese Waltz. Karl & Michelle danced a fast-paced and deliciously energetic Quickstep.

2nd SET: Robin "Kamala Shams" entertained us all with a Belly Dance presentation! John & Michelle took turns leading and following in the twist of fate Tango. Randy & Andrea shook their bums and rocked the house in their smokin hottt Samba. Leighanne & John (1st time Showcase performer) demonstrated flexibility and focus while dancing a love tormented Rumba. The Hustle presented by Liza & John by Donna Summer's "Bad Girls" was...well...sexy and BAD! Sue & John closed the evenings festivities with a fantastic flowing Foxtrot.
