Dian, Patty,
Sue, & John drove to the Hilton Mark Hotel in Alexandria, VA the morning of the
comp to get ready. The dance heats started at 7:00 AM and we were on the
floor competing at 7:49 AM. It was quite a long day for us but we
weathered the challenge and had a great time. We only danced the Smooth
category this year and were anxious and excited knowing that there were lots of
competitors joining us out on the floor. Hey, we went for the
challenge....and we got one for sure. These three lovely ladies danced and
made John & StudioDNA very proud. Thank you to these three for their
continued courage, dedication, and patronage to StudioDNA.
Dian:
3rd place: Foxtrot (silver)
4th Place: Viennese Waltz (bronze)
6th place: Tango (bronze)
Patty:
Danced 2
Tangos, 2 Waltzes, and 2 Foxtrots in separate levels. She competed against
14 to 15 other dancers. She unfortunately was not called back for the
semi-finals so we have no scores or levels to report.
Sue:
3rd place: Waltz (silver), Foxtrot (silver)
5th place: Viennese Waltz (bronze) & Waltz
(silver) 6th place:
Tango (bronze)
